The Hookers (Louisville, KY)
http://www.reverbnation.com/thehookersvalhalla

“During the Civil War prostitutes were known as ‘Hookers’ after an obliging Union General of the same name who supplied his men with the passion to keep fighting the good fight. The same spirit lives on in the modern day HOOKERS who have been schooling audiences in hardcore punk technique for so long sometimes even they forget how great they truly are. And like a whore gone to seed, the mighty HOOKERS just keep on getting more depraved, more insane and more brutal with their two chord assault. Who says the day of miracles is past? BLAG DAHLIA - ROCK LEGEND/THE DWARVES

“It’s a rock and roll resurrection of the highest order as Kentucky’s legendary punk metal masters the Hookers return with their first full length album in nearly a decade, Horror Rises From The Tombs. Led by the black heart and hellbent vocal stylings of The Rock and Roll Outlaw, reunited on record with original guitarist Stoney Tombs, and steeped in blood, guts & volume, Horror Rises From The Tombs is a vinyl-only 15 song punk-metal Molotov cocktail that mixes the band’s classic slash-and-burn, high-octane style with big hooks and even bigger riffs to create the ultimate Hookers album.” — Green Mist Records , Green Mist Records

The Swingin Dicks (Dallas, TX)

We started out in the mid 90′s when Mark was introduced to Dan by his father. Dan was in between bands and Mark was wanting to start something new. They began playing with Ronnie Tatum on bass and Ronnie Beckwith on drums. They began to play metal clubs due to lack of punk rock scene in Dallas. Most metal fans didn’t like what they did. After some time, Mark and Dan decided to part ways with Ronnie and Ronnie. They began searching for a bass player and drummer. They found a bass player from another band in the area call Voitech (sp?). Chris Wofford was a great fit and open to moving in a faster direction. They kept writing with various friends sitting in on drums. Patty Evans replied to their ad for a drummer and was hired on the spot. This line up stayed together for many years until Mark decided to get married and left the band after bringing in a new guitarist. This line up continued to write and tour. Eventually due to personal reasons, the Swingin’ Dicks ended. In 2008, Mark managed to track down Dan and talked about starting up again. Dan had been active in other bands since but was currently looking for a new project. At this time, the line up was Dan on vocals, BK (Swingin’ Dicks, Kentucky Mule) on bass, Todd on drums and Mark on guitar. They brought in a second guitarist (Big Mikey) and began playing local shows and writing. After a few shows, they decided to part ways with Todd and Big Mikey. They found a new drummer (Paul Kollock) through an ad. Paul was a great fit. Recently, they brought in a close friend and local musician (Tracey) as a second guitarist. The Swingin’ Dicks continue to write new material and tour with great bands. Currently they are in the studio recording their new album, Greetings from Dallas Texas.

This Houston, TX band is fronted by Robert Conn on guitar and vocals. Conn was one of the original members of The Pagans and Defnics from Cleveland, OH. Robert was also on The Plague “Just Say No” classic thrash punk album….. Conn maintains his raw edge “punk n’ roll” style of writing with Chelsea Hotel…..Bass duties are handled by Jewels. This Houston girl knows how to rock with the best of ‘em, and she’s all about playin’ some kick ass Texas rock n roll!!!…. Curt DeGidio is on 2nd guitar. He is a great addition to the lineup. Curt hails from Cleveland, OH and did time with The Chrome Kickers as well as other projects… Drums are handled by Houston’s own Andy Chaos who just kills a drum kit with the power he puts out!! This is a rock n roll lineup you don’t want to miss….. The band has had Robb “Dog” Loughmiller on drums, former Junkyard man Max Gottlieb on guitar, Billy Kenner on drums and a brief time with Lonnie Vincent of The Bulletboys who sat in for a few gigs and practices in late ’08/ early ’09. Thanks to all who have passed through this band we call CHELSEA HOTEL, for that very reason!
