The Pink Collar Comedy Tour, featuring comedians Kaytlin Bailey, Carrie Gravenson, Abbi Crutchfield and Erin Judge, is cutting-edge, hilarious stand-up comedy.
The Pink Collar Comedy Tour is the brainchild of Kaytlin Bailey, a native of Raliegh, NC, who moved to New York to pursue comedy and recruited her favorite NYC-based female comedians for this month-long Southern adventure. The Pink Collar tour begins at the world-renowned Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC, and then continues to Wilmington, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Asheville, NC. The tour culminates with performances in Maryland as the Pink Collar comics wind their way back up to the Big Apple.
Kaytlin Bailey, a College of Charleston alumna, is a founder of the TriBeCa Comedy Collective, and she performs regularly at the famous Gotham Comedy Club in Manhattan. When it came time to bring her stand-up act back to the Carolinas, she decided that an all-female comedy tour would be an excellent way to do it. “It’s always a privilege to work with these hilarious women in New York,” says Bailey. “I can’t wait to bring them home with me to make audiences laugh together down South!”
Abbi Crutchfield is a comedian, writer, and actor originally from Indianapolis, Indiana. She has appeared on MTV and VH1, and she was recently named one of the 18 Funny Women You Should Be Following on Twitter by Huffington Post Comedy. Abbi performs on the sketch team “Gramps” at the world-renowned Upright Citizen’s Brigade theater in New York, and you can read her work on Witstream.com.
Carrie Gravenson, a native New Yorker, won the 2009 New York Underground Comedy Festival’s Emerging Talent Stand-Up Competition, and was a runner up in 2009′s Catch a Rising Star Stand-Up Competition. She currently performs comedy all over the country and co-produces “The Tomfoolery Hour,” a popular monthly showcase in New York City.
Erin Judge, who grew up in Brooklyn, New York and Plano, Texas, has appeared on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” and at comedy clubs and festivals all around the world. Her first stand-up album, entitled “So Many Choices,” will be released by Rooftop Comedy Productions on June 26, 2012.
