500 Megatons of Boogie (Houston, TX)
https://www.facebook.com/pages/500-Megatons-of-Boogie/60408296120
“Formerly known as The Squishees, who were formerly known as The Slurpees, 500 Megatons of Boogie offers up an original, post-punk sound. Led by Erik Westfall, who has played with such notable names as Randy “Biscuit” Turner, the group conjures up comparisons to Gang of Four, The Melvins and Link Wray. The three-piece also features longtime bassist Johnny Todd and former Squishees drummer Kent “The Fireman” Hassinger, who adds the much-needed danceable yet skillful beats the group missed in his absence. The band may not fill venues to capacity, but local sensations have proved that doesn’t always mean good music. 500 Megatons released its latest collection of punk ditties in July, and it’s chock-full of reasons for Houston music fans looking for something new to get on the ball and get ready to boogie.” - Houston Press
Vanity Crimes (Houston, TX)
https://www.facebook.com/VanityCrimes
This is a band who loves to rock, and loves obscure music from different eras. This band has potential to make a name as it stands out drastically from the sound of other local bands making Vanity Crimes a name we know you’ll remember.
Vanity Crime is a four piece that lives in an era when the music was big, loud, original, and most of was created by playing actual instruments. Vanity Crimes is trying to bring back the sleezin’ and pleasin’ of the Sunset Strip, where big hair and eyeliner ruled the world. Do not expect us to look like your average band, we are that little bit of glitter that was left over in the gutter from the days that reminds you of freedom and the love of rock n roll.

Jeremy Carswell along with his longtime friend David Sanmiguel a multitalented instrumentalist / artist, took Jeremy’s collection of song writings and formed the genesis of Jeremy Carswell and The Nymphs.

While the album name and artwork have not yet been finalized, the first of these studio recordings can be found here for your listening pleasure.

Together, they began performing Jeremy’s songs locally in and around Houston. Today, the band performs with Jeremy Carswell on guitar / lead vocals, David Sanmiguel on keyboards / guitar, Mackenzie Burke on drums and Timothy Speck on bass. Sun Thieves (Houston, TX)
https://www.reverbnation.com/SunThieves
Sun Thieves was concieved the night of Halloween 2012 and has been working ever since. When we have to label our sound we prefer to say Alternative Funk but when we write songs we dont go for a genre, we go for what we want to write! The lead singer/bassist (Chris Ranew) and drummer (Scotty Barnes) have been part of Sun Thieves since conception but it wasnt until June of 2013 that they met their guitar player (Ik Muoneke). Ever since meeting him they have been creating and growing musically as a band with no stopping in sight! They were writing music and playing small shows but they were missing something. Through everyones personal problems and life itself it was hard to focus on the right direction for the band, but luckily they found their manager (Dillon Garcia) which who has proven to be very beneficial! With his help they have started reaching a bigger audience and have picked up more shows and our continuing to grow! We hope you enjoy our music because it comes from the heart and we hope you become a fan! Thankyou!
