Friday 30 June 2017 - Hunter Ward Anniversary w/ Poor Dumb Bastards * Donkey Punch * Dolly Rockers

Poor Dumb Bastards (Houston, TX)
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Poor-Dumb-Bastards/126350582202

PDB was formed in March 1991 by long time hetero life partners and musical collaborators, Mike Porterfield and Byron Dean. The initial interest was to find a means to get into Emo’s for free, later they discovered Emo’s was always free. Drawing on their collective influences and experiences from some of their earlier work, bands like Cretinoid, Plutonium Flatheads and the Byron Weird Group, Mike and Byron set out create a genre all their own, hence “Texas Drunk Rock” was born. Add the non bass playing talents of Steve Scholtes and the competent, metronomic drumming of Chi Chi Macoola, and PDB were able to carve their initials on the bathroom door of the Texas music scene. Through the many years and many lineup changes, but these Ill-minded sewer rockers have stayed true to their founding principals. POWER, PERFORMANCE, PERVERSION

Dollyrockers – (Houston, TX)

The DollyRocker vision began in the winter of 2006 by Mike Porterfield and Steve Scholtes, both members of Houston punk rock band Poor Dumb Bastards. Eventually the lineup was completed with the addition of guitarist Dave DaVegas, former Manhole/Come On Come On vocalist AliceSin Gibson and ex Toho Ehio/I End Result drummer extradordinaire, Sean Feeley. The sounds and songs of the band are rooted in a mix of hard rock, rockabilly, outlaw country and southern blues. DollyRockers released their critically acclaimed 10 song debut CD, Hellbound Hoedown.

Winter (Los Angeles, CA)
https://www.facebook.com/daydreamingwinter/

Winter is the project of songwriter Samira Winter, who’s love for guitar music and nostalgic imagery inspired the dream pop/indie rock four piece. Samira grew up in Curitiba, Brazil listening to her American father’s punk records, and her Brazilian mother’s MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) tunes. While living in Boston during her college years she found a love for shoegaze which led to her collaboration with Nolan Eley who recorded and produced Winter’s first EP “Daydreaming” and LP “Supreme Blue Dream”. In 2013 Samira relocated to Los Angeles where the band currently resides working on their upcoming album “Ethereality.” Winter aspires to connect people to their inner child by making blissful, beautiful, dream pop.

Antichrist (Växjö, Sweden)
https://www.facebook.com/Antichrist-Swe-194267540607866/

Antichrist emerged from Växjö, Sweden in 2005 seemingly determined to bring thrash metal back to the early eightees. Naming themselves after Slayers song “The Antichrist” and both looking and sounding like early bay-area bands, the band has built a rather dedicated audience. An audience that are not afraid of calling out contemporaries as posers for using triggered drums, clean production or singing about pizza and not death and satan. Having a couple of demos under their belt they released their debut album, “Forbidden Worlds” on September 30th 2011.
